I use Painter for all my brushwork… if you cannot afford both then hopefully this book will help you decide which program is right for you. I use Photoshop for all my collage work, color correcting, fixing composition problems, and preparing for press. “I use both programs in my workflow and I would not be able to sacrifice either. “You could master any one of the digital painting programs on the market today and still be a lousy painter, but if you don’t learn the basic software skills then you will never be able to create masterpieces.”
